The sport of rowing is my lifelong muse, athletically. I rowed at UC Davis. Thereafter, coached at the collegiate level. Crew runs in my blood. My 28-year marriage to "Ox" began in a Sacramento River boathouse. Our children continue the tradition. I wrote Levitate, freshly inspired by my eldest son's varsity boat at Univ of Oregon. Made with the dialectics of grit and grace, speed and stillness.
